I look forward to friday nights

I know it doesnt make much sense to leave school after talking about bikes for six hours and then come to a bar to talk more bikes and bullshit but I look forward to this. These guys love this stuff as me and its refreshing to not have to stress about notes and test, have a piture of beer and a shot of whiskey with some friends. Then we normally head to the steel horse saloon for the live bands and pool. Thats a good friday night.

Bike of the day

I love lane splitters, they are classy no doubt about it. This is a suzuki 450 and the definition of a a stuggling student. I built this bike from the ground up as a means to get to and from school. Its a little janky but the best rat bikes are, for example he has to pop start it everytime.. Thats a reall bike. Beileve it or not it sounds great to.

BEARDS ON THE MOTHER FUCKIN MOVE

Let me start this post with FUCK. I typed up a whole thing, uploaded all the pictures, had to cut and paste my entry because the pictures were on top, and like a dick I lost the entry. So heres number two. Last night the old lady and I, along with Dereks girlfriend Rose, went out to Pough-town for the Eat Ur Heart Out Fest featuring Emarosa, Chiodos, Vanna, Dr. Acula, These 3 Poisons, Take One Car and a ton of other really great bands. The only band that sucked was the first band that played upstairs in The Loft. I didnt catch their name, but they were from Yonkers. Hopefully theyll see this, and not get mad, but take it into consideration, because they sucked a bag of donkey dicks. Anyway, there was a cornicopia of really great beards and moustaches. Below are the ones I could get. Most of the guys I talked to really loved the idea of getting their picture taken because of their nice facial hair. The screamer from Decoder, however, was a bit of a douche, but he did just come off stage when I got to him. Maybe he was tired....

This guy is a random Beard on the Move. His name is Steve Larosa, and he is one swell fellow. Hes in a band, I forget the name, but theyre playing The Break Contest at The Chance on March 6.

The sound guy from The Loft

The screamer from Decoder.... Like I said, this guy was kind of a douche

The bassist from Vanna, Shawn

The merch guy for Vanna.... They both have really sweet moustaches

The bassist from These 3 Poisons, I know I got his name, but I forgot it... Sorry dude

A pretty good monday night.

After class we all decided to go out for a ride to celebrate monica getting her sporty back and me getting my new plate on. We went up to the "the hideaway bar and grill" located some where in cave creek arizona....im not bullshiting ya thats their actuall adress.  It was a pretty cool bar overal it had a bunch of intense outdoor fire pits and they had a wing special for three dollars for a dozen wings.after some beers and alot of wings we decided to head out. It was a prettu good ride and the wings werent half bad. Ill take some pictures when we take the route during the day cause it looked like a reall nice area.

Wow.  So one of our very good friends, Ben Doland's father passed away last week.  John was a really awesome guy who killed it in the kitchen.  I got a text from Ben last night asking to come over for one last hoorah before he moved into his new place.  He also said he had a surprise for me.  I wasn't any the wiser.  I got off work, scooped up Ann, Marty J, Eric, and Peter and we went.  For a man who just lost his father, Ben is doing a remarkable job of keeping his chin up, and doing all the things a man in his situation needs to do.  After some bull shitting and music selecting, Ben started digging through boxes for my surprise.  This is what he pulled out.  Ben had said that just a couple days before his Dad died, he had asked him, "hey, your friend Jamie smokes right?  Give him this."   This is probably one of the greatest gifts I've ever recieved.  Not only because its a really fuckin sweet cigarette case, but because John was such a nice guy, and Ben could of held this down and not said anything.  Thank you so very much Ben and John.

Whoops

I decided to go for a sunday ride once the rain stopped here. In theroy it was a good idea but in action,it didnt work out that way  it turns out the road was more wet then I thought and when a bike doesnt have a front fender the front wheel is more like a sprinkler system. It was refreshing and again made me miss my chopper. But hey a wet face is better then frezzing cold with snow....right new york?

Friday night

Friday came the end of theory 1. I got an 88 on the final test and I somehow got a 92 final average in it to. Im starting to get the hang of this school thing. A little off topic I thought id post a picture of one of these awesome ramps my school has. From what I understand they are placed by each motorcycle lot in the event a bike breaks down, which is awesome cause the most stressfull part lf owning a bike in my oppinion is getting it in the back of a truck. Now that I'm done being side tracked back to friday night. Once we got out of class alex and headed over to "the que" to meet some friends from class for a post test beer. We set off four car alarms trying to find a parking lot there,  I should probally say we felt bad but to be honest we couldnt help but find it funny. We met tony darrel and greg and monica later met us there. Monica is one of two girls in our class (the other one isnt old enough to drink) shes pretty cool and became even cooler when she challenged darrel to an arm wrestleing contest. Darrel is my age the other younging in the group and ill let you decide who won,by the picture. After the que we went to steel horse salloon, by the time we got there my phone was dead hencd the lack of pictures. Around 1:30 we decided to head home, right before we left a couple other bikers pulled up to warn us the 19th ave was closed due to a blown water main. Luckily for alex he didnt have to go that way. At the stop light (with a huge puddle next to me) I saw some other friends from class who did go out with us while talking to them at the stop light a car came past right threw the puddle and like something out of a movie a tidal wave came over me drenching my whole right side. Needless to say it was a chilly ride home. In all honesty I couldnt help but laugh.
A ridiculous end to a good night, but all and all nothing but smiles here.

The golden city exisits!

El darado isnt a myth its located at my school. I needed a wire krimper before class cause I was tinkering with my bike and luckily for me i'm in the same building as late model. On my way into the late model class I had to walk threw this room only time i've ever been glad my headlight had a shortage, I cant wait till im in this class. So many generations of harley engines and so little time.

Bike of the day

Im a reall sucka for sportys and luckily for me my school is like a hive for them. I haven't seen to many bikes running window bars that I liked but this is without a doubt one of them. This is a nightster one of the newer models in the sportster line and a pretty good looking bike. I like the fact hes got no rear suspension om his daily driver it makes me miss my chopper. Im also I pretty big fan of the exhaust im pretty sure its a kit made by biltwell thats a builders kit,But my favorite is the relocated speedo.

"that's the new york in you and you can never loose that"

We woke up valentines day morning with this pleasent stuff on marys car window. Neddless to say im not pleased. We havent stepped on any toes while we have been here. It was washable marker...but the things written were just unneeded. In our time in the apartment we've only met one person who i knows that I go to mmi and that mary and I are together. If this were dubs or stevie it would be a prank war, but if I dont know you... So dont touch our shit simple and plain. I called our leasing office and told them of the problem and who we think did it. I also gave them fair warning that when I see this kid I will be having my own unpleasant talk with him, their response was this and I quote "thats fine thats the new york in you and you can never loose that" well put.

Poppas got a band new bag

Ive had a mean pair of zbars taunting me since christmas and last night I finally got them. Mostly thanks to this cat chris I met at school. Chris is a cool guy from kentucky hes actually one of the few reall bikers in my class so far and hes been alot of help. Not to mention his bike is sick. This was actually our second time trying to got these damn things on. Last saturday I work up early and headed to chris's handy dandyq garage. Once I got there we threw my bike up on the lift and dropped my forks a little bit so the end of the bars would clear the end of my tripple trees. After that we took the old bars off and started to figure out the wiring...only problem was we couldnt figure out the wiring so broken hearted I pieced my bike back together. Luckily since I go to a school for bikes I was able to go the libary and get a wiring diagram. Last night after class after going back to my apartment to make a couple important calls back home I headed back to chris's place. Which convinantly for me is about two miles down the road from our new apartment. After a delicious dinner made my chris's girlfriend it was about quater to eight by the time we dove back into my bike for the second time. Since this was the second time we had tried this we both grabbed some tools and stripped my bike down pretty quick. We were able to finally find the wiring harness for my hand controls we just could seem to figure out how to get them around the 90 degree angles. After finding about thirty different ways NOT to run the wires we settled on a pretty solid method. We taped all the holes in the bars except one, which we ran a piece of bow fishing wire threw (yes bow fishing...like I said the mans from kentucky) and blew the the uncovered hole which forced the string around the corners. We then broke up my wiring harness in to three smaller clumps of wores and used the string to pull them threw the bars. By the time we were done it was about three o clock in the morning. So all types of excited I turn my key and my headlight doesnt work for some reason?! We never touched the headlight or any of the wires! In spite of that everything worked so chris followed my home in his old ladies car so I had some lights. Tomorow im gonna find a dealer to get a new bulb from. To be honest after waiting so long to get these on not only was it worth the time but it was even worth the new headlight. While I was there I decided to pull my front fender off to. Im trying to build my bike on a budget and so far its working out great. The bike on the bottom is chris's monster.

Bike of the day

I had my first day of classes today and on my way in to the building I saw this beauty. I didnt get a chance to talk the owner but im pretty sure its a softail springer bad boy edition. All though its a cheesy name its just s tripped down slightly lower springer softail, amd from what I understamd they only made them from 95 to 97. I really like the paint job. I think two tone could be pretty classy when done right. Also I like the unique shaped pipes.
