Bike of the day

I know it doesn't have an engine but this bike is awesome. This is an old school schwin, if I remember coreectly its a 1965. The bike belongs to a ussuall at the red onion, him and his girlfriend ride their bikes there every weekend. One day we all saw his bike outside and had to compliment him on it, (a compliment on his awesome goatee soon followed) ever since then he was stops at the shop to bullshit for a bit. My favorite part is the hand tooled seat, which was done by a local guy in mesa. From what I'm told he is almost done with another one, so I'm sure this won't be the last bicycle that gets bike of the day.

Bike of the day

This sweet 93 shadow 600 belongs to our buddy mikey. This was mikey's first bike, its also his first build. He learned how to wrench on bikes by building this one, he did all the work himself including the hardtail. Since I still don't have my bike back I had to hang out of the back of peter's truck while colton drove.

Money well spent

Tomorow is my finall day of clinic six. Today my lab partner mike and I finished rebuilding a honda crf 150. We started with the engine outside of the chassis and completly tore the engine down, split the cases and measured all of the internals and made sure all of the clearances were right. We then put it back together, made sure it was timed and put it in the chassis. Next our teacher started it up and abused it for awhile under excessive throttle. Luckily for us and our grade everything went well and we got a 100. This was a good expierence cause I have my dads 250 I blew up in 2008 I want to start rebuilding in july when I go home to visit, hopefully if I do ill get to stop hearing about it at family gatherings. I've been told our next clinic involves alot of carb work so it should be fun.

Bike of the day

This is a really cool snap on theme bike that stopped by to see our buddy R.j. at Percision V-twin this weekend. The oil bag is made to look like an oversized socket, screw driver handles as grips, the gastank looks like an old school snap on tool box, plus so much more. These pictures dont do it justice.

Worst case senerio

As some of you may or may not know I wrecked last saturday afternoon on my back to satallite 13. My tank got busted up along with my rear fender, sissy bar, highway pegs, handle bars and im sure there's more. Unfortunately its time to hurry up and wait for the insurance company to take care of my bike and for my wounds to heal. The road rash isn't that bad (all though since the ground is so hot from baking in the sun it really burns) but I've got some messed up muscles in my back which means I have to walk with a cane for awhile. Its been awhile since I've posted anything mostly because nothing to eventful happens while I'm laying on the couch watching movies waiting to heel. Moral of the story as cool as my beard is it doesn't help much when I get hit by a car.

Some weekend gems

Danny is still learning how to ride while his shovel is in the shop so I let him use my bike to ride around the shop lot to get used to being on two wheels. While he was riding around I decided to grab an old school fishtail skateboard from the shop and ride alongside him for some cool action shots. As for danny he is coming along great and cant get enough, which proves some guys were ment to sell their cages and get a bike. I cant wait till his shovel is done.

Bike of the day

Ive been slacking lately but ill make up for it I swear. Im pretty sure this softail is an 06, but either way these carlini bars look so good. I love the way they are tilted forward yet still in line with the forks.

Cars suck

I met this nice fella in the parking lot yesterday as I was getting ready to leave. In all honesty I dont know his name or the whole story, all I know is that while he was riding nis bike a cage ran a stoplight and side swiped him. He was wearing his helmet and has alot more boo boos then this. Thats the second accident in two weeks, watch out for cars eveyone...cause they obviously arent looking for us.
